The Day After Tomorrow

So I haven't written many posts like this lately, but when I spotted these fashionistas on campus I just knew I had to get a shot of their outfits! Not only because they looked adorable, but because they reminded me of one of my favorite blogs...
I mean the author of this amazing blog has some SERIOUS style. Her closet is packed with bright and billowy tops, sleek skirts and too many trousers to count! I envy her wardrobe SO much (it almost makes me want to cry, but I shall refrain for your sake) She has an effortless way of taking a simplistic outfit to the next level by adding easy accessories and vibrant colors. Check out some of my favorite looks that Krystal recently donned on her blog...
One item that she always wears in the perfect way is trousers. But not just neutral colored trousers, the ones she wears come in a wide variety of colors and patterns! For some reason, I don't have a SINGLE pair of trousers. Probably because the knee on pants hits me at my ankle because I'm a midget, but that's beside the point! I NEED a pair of these in my closet STAT, cus look how many she has??
We have to catch up to each other. Anywho, look how adorable these students looked that I spotted on campus! They were definitely emulating their inner Krystal and Audrey Hepburn with their skinny black trousers and bright red cigarette pants...
So I challenge you to rock some trouser pants or some vibrant colors (OR BOTH) the day after tomorrow, in honor of Krystal. I'm sure she would be proud of each and every one of us! And who doesn't want that??...

Madewell

So tonight I had a fabulous TWEET CHAT through CollegeFashionista with...
MADEWELL
Madewell is seriously one of my all time FAVORITE stores. If I could own everything in there, even the mens clothing, mostly for me even if they don't fit but some for my boo too, I think I would shave my hair off for it. Extreme...maybe. (don't judge) But that's how obsessed I am with it. Everything created by this timeless line is classic and chic while still using vibrant colors and staying up to date with the hottest trends.  Earlier I went onto their glorious website and (after whiping the drool off my computer screen) I decided to link some of my favorite items through my blog so that you could enjoy this amazing shop right along with me! Check out these trendy finds that YOU can purchase through their website...

How perfect are all of these items? If you are feeling generous.... I wear an X-Small! Which item is your favorite?? Oh and don't forget that Madewell is doing a Get Styled Tour with CollegeFashionista so make sure you check it out near your area!

Breaking Dawn

WHO SAW THE PREMIERE OF BREAKING DAWN LAST NIGHT!?
Wow. That movie was crazy, and extremely intense. One scene that I loved was the honeymoon! How perfect did they get that??
As for the rest of the movie, it was a little too much blood and sickness for me...my body literally ached when I was leaving the theatre haha. I mean obviously they are vampires so it's to be expected, but still. Let's tone that down a bit!
All in all though, I really did love it! And I think Kristen Stewart is an ideal actress for Bella Swan. I just love her in all of these movies. Especially Breaking Dawn, the things that she acted out in this movie seemed really tough and I know I would NEVER be able to do that! Some people hate on her, but to me she is so gorgeous, has great fashion, is a really good actress and has FLAWLESS hair. So today I thought we'd get some Kristen Stewart inspiration to add some funky rocker chick flair to our wardrobe! Check out some fashion DO's that we can learn from Bella herself...

Rock a chic pair of combat boots with a girly dress...
Varsity jackets are more than in this season...
If you have long hair then never be afraid to don a side braid...
Wearing all black is classic and elegant...
Want to change things up a little bit? What about big hair and winged eyeliner?...
Don't forget to stay healthy and workout to get a rock solid stomach like K Stewarts...
Burnt oranges and charcoal grays always look perfect as eye makeup for cold weather...
Never be afraid to try out some bright lipstick!...
You don't need to dress up to look hot, try some skinny jeans with trendy heels...
Date Edward Cullen!
haha SIKE. Don't we all wish we could...

All these Kristen Stewart looks are perfect and can easily be put together using items that you already have in your closet. I mean, who doesn't want to look like Bella? I know I do! What was your favorite scene in the movie??

It's never too early...

I am SO busy this week so I have to make this post short and sweet ladies and gents. One thing that I am overly excited about is CHRISTMAS. Yep, I know that it's over a month away, but who cares! I'm in love, I'm in love (with Christmas) and I don't care who knows it! My Spotify playlist is already stocked with the latest Michael Buble Chrirstmas CD and it is AMAZING.
Seriously. Like you need to go listen to it RIGHT NOW...Anywho, today when I was doing my daily Pinterest perusing I came across a recipe that looks simple and delicious...

(click for the link)
I don't know about ya'll, but I love me some peppermint! Not only does it settle your stomach, but it's delicious and it gives you minty fresh breath! How yum do those look? Drop them into a steaming cup of hot chocolate and you're ready to roll! I will be trying this recipe A.S.A.P, but if you try it like...tonight, then be SURE to let me know how it turns out! Along with our peppermint recipe, I found some ADORABLE peppermint inspired clothing items that will be ideal for the holiday season...

(sorry for the blurriness)
Aren't they all so festive?? I decided that we can just pretend we have that models stomach while we sit around in our Christmasy clothes eating our peppermint marshmallows...sounds like a plan to me! What part of Christmas are YOU most excited about??

Purple Stride & Purple Pride

This morning I was in Raleigh NC participating in an amazing awareness walk for Pancreatic Cancer called Purple Stride.
My Granddaddy passed away around 7 months ago from this terrible disease and it took a huge hit on my family. It was very unexpected and it came at so us quickly that after the diagnosis there was only 3 months that we had left to spend with him. We know that God has a plan for everything in life but losing such a loved family member is a heart-wrenching process. When I heard that there was a walk for PanCan occurring so close to Greenville I knew I had to go. I called up my brother who goes to NC State and we immediately planned to sign up to walk together!
They ended up raising over 60,000 dollars with this fundraiser and it was so inspiring to see everyone who had experienced this disease bond together to help raise money to find a cure. Pancreatic Cancer is the most deadly cancer out there. With only a 5% survival rate it's astonishing the small amount of people who are informed about it. Steve Jobs, Patrick Swayze and Michael Landon are just a few of the well known celebrities that have passed away from this deadly disease.

So today, for my Granddaddy and for everyone else who has fought this battle, I decided to share some fashionable ways that you can raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer! Just because you don't participate in a walk or a fundraiser doesn't mean you won't make a difference in finding a cure! Simply adding a splash of purple to your outfit is any easy way for people to become informed! Here are some stylish ideas that will show your purple pride in honor of Pancreatic Cancer...

So next time you're wearing purple, which I know is very frequently for all my Pirate readers, make sure you think about Pancreatic Cancer Awareness! If you would like to make a donation, no matter how much money it is, please click this LINK. Even a college student like you and I can make a big difference...

Know it. Fight it. End it.
