Thrifty Threads

I have always found thrift stores as such a fun concept. I love how you can take something that somebody probably thought "Ew, I don't want this anymore, it's SO ugly (and/or) out of date!" and turn it into "I absolutely LOVE that look! Where did you get it!?"

Unfortunately, so sue me if I'm wrong about what I just said, I have never been to a thrift shop...(unless you count Goodwill, which I definitely don't.)  But I have always wanted to go! The other day my friend Allison who helps me with the blog ventured to a thrift store in Philadelphia called Retrospect that looks like it has some awesome finds! While she was shopping around and searching for some stylish threads she came across a fellow shopper who was rockin' a fro and a fierce ensemble!...
The low back of this dress and the simple yet stylish heels pulls together an outfit that is comfortable enough for a shopping day, but hot enough for a night out...while the afro definitely helps to add some SPUNK on top of that! And everybody knows that a fashionista can't leave a cute store empty handed. Allison left Retrospect with a GORGEOUS pink and orange floral tunic that she paired with a skinny belt to complete the look!
So next time you are trying to think of a cute store to find some new clothes, get online and search for the nearest thrift shop! Just remember, one mans trash is another mans TREASURE!

keep on keepin' on fashionistas,
<3 Lindy

Sometimes it is hard for me to even venture to a thrift shop. I need to try this seeing how it could completely save me some money!!

I was about to say one man's trash is another man's treasure! It's so true, many people can see a quality in a piece that's been in someone's wardrobe gathering dust for however many years. I love her dress! x hivenn

thrifting is so fun but you definitely have to be in the mood for it (at least I do). the pink and orange dress is so cute!

PS thanks for your comment on my ads...I'm in the process of tweaking my lay out so some things are looking wonky.. :)

Sometimes I venture into the ones in Toronto, but I never have any luck. Maybe I just need to open my eyes more, or go in with more of a creative mind!
